I borrowed this book from my local library. I was not sure what to expect from the cover. I read the book and found it be interesting and moving with a surprise twist at the ending. I really enjoyed reading the behind the scenes of the pageant. It reminded me of when I used to watch the Miss America pageant except there was a lot more drama in this book. It took a bit to get the story going but it was worth it in the end.

I loved the descriptions throughout the book, but especially the pageant part — it made me feel like I was in the first row of the shenanigans of a beauty pageant. I laughed with the characters and even had feelings about them, this book book was so beautifully written.
And the end, such beautiful and surprise ending! (At least to me.)
I picked up the book for a good time at Camp Willowish and ended up connecting with and rooting for some of the characters.
The book has great laughs, but a very poignant story.

Loved it! Funny, interesting, and new way of seeing things for me.

A fun story about gay camping with a twist at the end. A little catty at times, as to be expected considering the subject matter.

I really enjoyed diving into the colorful, sincere, witty (and snarky) world of Camp Willowish! The setting itself was enough to make me intrigued (a drag show in the woods in Texas??) and this story doesn't fail to follow up. The dialogue, imagery, and character development kept me involved and I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a heartfelt and funny story!

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Laughed and laughed at all the antics in the pageant especially the Carolina twins. As a hopeless romantic, cried through the sad and heartwarming parts.

I totally enjoyed this book. It is an easy read and brings to life the love and laughter of the gay community. Has many life lessons such as we have to laugh at ourselves, we should love others, be nice to others as well as many more. A feel good book with a good ending. I would definitely recommend it.
